Reiki with essential oils session

Reiki, a Japanese term meaning “universal life force energy,” is a gentle healing practice. The core philosophy is that a balanced flow of this energy promotes relaxation, well-being, and stress reduction. Reiki is delivered through light touch; it is non-invasive, non-religious, and adaptable to any belief system.

Reiki Origins and My Journey

In 1922, Japanese Tendai Buddhist monk Mikao Usui meditated on Mount Kurama, near Kyoto, and discovered the system of healing we now know as Reiki. I was privileged to spend time alone on that same summit in 2010, seeking a connection with Usui’s legacy. What I found instead was a profound discovery of myself – a truly extraordinary experience!

Reiki Healing Sessions

My Reiki sessions bring together traditional techniques with essential oils and flower essences, tailored to your unique needs. During a session, you’ll remain fully clothed and relax comfortably. The subtle energy of Reiki works gently to ease hidden tensions and help you find clarity on issues holding you back.

Common results are:
  • Deep sense of clarity on current challenges
  • Release of emotional and physical blocks
  • A feeling of profound relaxation

Essential Oils: Nature's Healing Gifts

I see essential oils as Nature’s gift to us all.
Essential oils, known to elevate one’s vibrational energy, can address the emotional and spiritual roots of imbalance that often underpin disease. They also do much, much more.
In his book ‘Natural Home Health Care using Essential Oils’, Dr. Daniel Penoel MD describes therapeutic-grade essential oils as possessing an innate intelligence – their complex makeup provides benefits on many levels: emotional, physical, and spiritual.

Ancient Origins

Essential oil use spans millennia. Historical texts like the Egyptian Ebers Papyrus, along with references in the Bible, attest to their widespread use in medicine, rituals, and personal care. Their power and versatility continue to offer healing on every level.

Common results are:

  • The Ancient Egyptians: used essential oils for thousands of years. The Ebers Papyrus, discovered in 1817, is a medical scroll over 870 feet in length. It dates back to 1500 BC and includes over 800 different herbal prescriptions and remedies. From Egyptian hieroglyphs we have learned that essential oils were mankind’s first medicine. Essential oils were used also for beauty and hygiene whilst Priests, Priestesses and Physicians used them to assist with healing. The Egyptians’ strong belief in the afterlife led them to master the embalming of their dead using essential oils; as a result we are able to see the product of their skills in the mummies displayed in the Cairo Museum today. They had a wonderful understanding of essential oils and consequently we are privileged to have gained knowledge of their preparation methods and properties of the oils themselves.
  • The Romans:purified their temples and political buildings by diffusing essential oils and there are over 200 references to aromatics, incense and ointments throughout the Old and New Testaments of the Bible.
  • India, China, Mesopotamia:there is historical evidence dating back 4000 years on the use of aromatic plants by the people of these regions
